Join us Architects Victor Dadras, Robert Dadras and Kevin Wolfe for a walk back through time, starting with the mid-century modern Railroad Station House at Douglaston Village, to nearby Douglas Manor, a century old residential neighborhood overlooking the Long Island Sound that has the largest collection of Arts & Crafts style houses in New York City, including three by A&C master, Gustav Stickley. Our sojourn through this NYC designated Historic District culminates with refreshments and a reception in the garden of a picturesque 1911 gambrel roofed Arts & Crafts style gem by architect George H. Chichester. As organized NYCity-wide by the Municipal Arts Society, this Jane’s Walk 2018 Event (honoring the spirit of Jane Jacobs on her 100th birthday anniversary) is co-sponsored by the Douglaston Local Development Corporation and the Douglaston and Little Neck Historical Society.
